Abstract
Fibroepithelial polyps of the ureter are rare benign mesodermal tumors that occur most often the proximal ureter. Most patients present with either hematuria or flank pain secondary to partial ureteral obsruction. The diagnosis may be established with excretory urology, retrograde pyelography or both. Unfortunately, in the major of cases reviewed, the diagnosis was not made preoperatively but the diagnostic confirmation was made intraoperatively or postoperatively. Herein, we report a case of fibroepithelial polyp of the ureter with a brief review of literatures.
